These enormous grouper live around wrecks, reefs, ledges, bridges, and large rock formations. Getting the right bait close to productive structure can result in one of the most memorable fights available in Gulf fishing.
Goliath grouper will eat a wide variety of prey. Large live baits and substantial cut baits are commonly used when targeting these giants.

Gulf reef fish
Bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico can produce much more than grouper and hogfish. Mangrove snapper, lane snapper, triggerfish, porgies, Key West grunts, and sea bass are among the many species we may catch around reefs, ledges, rock piles, and natural hard-bottom areas.
These fish provide steady action and are excellent targets for children, families, beginners, and anyone who enjoys seeing what comes over the rail next. Many are also excellent table fare.
Our common reef-fishing baits include squid, shrimp, and threadfin herring. Because several species may be feeding in the same area, every drop can produce something different.
